Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Designer to support electrical design across healthcare projects, from clinics to hospitals, on-site in Boise. You’ll produce plans, sections, and details under the direction of a Project Engineer, covering power distribution, lighting and life safety.

Open to licensed PEs or designers with 5–10 years of experience; PE licensure is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of electrical design experience including power distribution and lighting.
• Experience with life safety design.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Draft electrical plans, sections, and details across healthcare projects.
• Develop one-line diagrams including arc-fault and short circuit analysis.
• Apply knowledge of emergency power systems and life safety codes.
• Perform branch circuit design and load calculations.
• Participate in client meetings and translate requirements into designs.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to deliver coordinated outcomes.
• Grow proficiency in healthcare electrical systems.
