Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) seeks an EDI Interoperability Analyst to design, implement, and monitor healthcare data exchanges across systems. You will ensure secure, timely data sharing with internal and external partners per HIPAA/CMS rules.

You will collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain data integrity, manage transactions, and support regulatory compliance in payer operations. A healthcare IT background and knowledge of HL7/FHIR are valuable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, HIM or related field.
• 3 years' experience in EDI/healthcare interoperability or data integration.
• Experience with HIPAA transaction sets (834, 837, 835, 820, 999/277CA).
• HIPAA or healthcare compliance training/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and supports EDI and interoperability solutions for healthcare transactions.
• Maintains EDI environments, partner integrations, and secure data exchange processes.
• Monitors daily EDI transaction flows and resolves errors promptly.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state regulations for data exchanges.
