Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Call Center Dispatcher to support the Communications Center. The role focuses on dispatching Plant Operations, EVS, Bio Medical Engineering, Pest Control, Elevator, and Code Cart calls while ensuring patient and staff safety and accurate regulatory documentation.

You will answer general information calls, obtain required data, and coordinate with on-call teams, while adhering to HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in customer service or direct customer interaction.
• Typing 45+ words per minute and ability to use basic software tools.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email systems.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch calls for Plant Operations, EVS, Bio Medical Engineering, Pest Control, Elevator, Code Cart.
• Answer general information calls and coordinate with on-call teams.
• Document information and maintain regulatory tracing; escalate safety concerns.
