WesleyLife’s Heritage House in Iowa is seeking a dining services team member to deliver high-quality meals and friendly service to residents and guests.

Responsibilities include assisting with meal service, performing quality checks, maintaining sanitation, and following safety procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to standards, and participation in ongoing training and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience or ability to learn hospitality standards.
• Knowledge of cuisine and wine/beverage pairings.
• Attention to detail and presentation skills.
• Ability to speak, write and understand English language, and to effectively communicate with others with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work duties and to perform repetitive job functions.
• Ability to follow all safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and make food/drink suggestions.
• Perform quality checks on appearance of food/drink prior to service to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure residents and guests are completely satisfied with their food and the service.
• Assist with maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the dining rooms.
• Operate dining service equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Show initiative and time awareness of peak periods to ensure meal/drink service is timely.
• Follow safety and infection control practices as directed.
• Attend educational seminars and in-services as required.
• Follow the direction of the Restaurant Manager or Team Lead and complete other duties as assigned.
