Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions seeks an Assistant Dietary Manager to oversee daily food-service operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will support the Dietary Manager, lead the dietary team, ensure high quality meals, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include staff recruiting/training, scheduling, collaborating with facility staff and vendors, maintaining records, and ensuring meals meet therapeutic diet requirements; you will work with RD on care plans and diet orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education preferred but not required.
• Experience in healthcare food service or supervisory role highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the Dietary Manager in daily food-service operations.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate dietary staff.
• Develop and manage staff schedules for all shifts.
• Collaborate with facility staff, physicians, consultants, and vendors.
• Maintain records on personnel, inventory, and equipment.
• Inspect meals for quality: appearance, temperature, and palatability.
• Ensure meals follow standardized recipes and therapeutic diets.
• Manage the preparation and service of special nourishments and feeds.
• Oversee HACCP-based food safety and sanitation.
• Update dietary records and care plans with RD support.
• Document nutritional concerns to improve resident health.
