Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have valid dietary manager or food service management certification.
• Has a national certification for food service management and safety.
• Has an associate’s or higher degree in food service management or hospitality with relevant courses.
• Has 2+ years of experience as director of food and nutrition services in a nursing facility.
• Must meet state requirements for food service or dietary managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversees budget and purchasing of food and supplies.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary environment for residents.
• Oversees timely meal preparation and adherence to care plans.
• Monitors diets and texture modifications to meet residents' needs.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and QAPI activities.
• Assigns and supervises Dietary Aides and Cooks.
