Job summary

NBBJ Charlotte is seeking an Intermediate Medical Planner to lead design and planning of complex healthcare facilities, including large hospitals and ambulatory centers. You will work within a fully integrated design studio with medical planners, clinicians, interior designers, and project managers from concept through construction.

Based in the United States, you will translate client operations into architectural plans, participate in client meetings, and ensure compliance with healthcare

Qualifications

• 5–10 years healthcare planning experience.
• B Arch degree required; M Arch preferred.
• Architectural registration preferred; LEED accreditation a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration with clients and teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory codes in healthcare design.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan hospitals and clinics.
• Lead meetings with Clinical User Group and present to clients.
• Translate client requirements into architectural medical plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Ensure drawings meet codes and licensing standards.
• Coordinate design through construction administration.
