Job summary

Pinehurst Surgical Clinic is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure supporting clinical, operational, and financial analytics. You will build automated pipelines and ensure data reliability across EHR platforms and business systems.

Responsibilities include ETL/ELT workflow design, data integration using HL7/FHIR/C-CDA, and collaboration with Health Information Systems to translate clinical needs into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, ETL/ELT, or data integration.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating relational data.
• Experience with REST APIs or similar integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and monitor ETL/ELT workflows and automated data pipelines.
• Develop integrations using APIs, HL7, FHIR, C-CDA, and related healthcare interoperability standards.
• Extract, normalize, transform, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Design scalable data structures and data marts to support analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with Health Information Systems and stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
