Job summary

Urology Centers of Alabama, P.C. is seeking a Healthcare Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.

You will integrate clinical, revenue cycle, and operational data from multiple systems to support reporting, analytics, and regulatory compliance across the organization. The role partners with clinical, revenue cycle, finance, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, availability, and security in a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (required).
• Hands‑on experience integrating EMR and revenue cycle data is preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that integrate data from EMRs, practice management systems, billing platforms, payer files, and ancillary systems.
• Build and manage data warehouses, data marts, and structured datasets to support clinical, financial, and operational reporting.
• Ensure data security, access controls, and HIPAA compliance across all data environments.
• Enable dashboards and reporting for revenue cycle performance, provider productivity, quality metrics, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions.
• Document data models, pipelines, and data definitions to support transparency and sustainability.
