Job summary
Jobtailor is seeking a data engineer for healthcare analytics in Tallahassee, FL. The role focuses on mapping clients, caregivers, services, and demographics within the WellSky case management ecosystem, and developing data dictionaries and ERDs.
You will translate business requirements into complex SQL queries and Python scripts, automate data extraction, and train non-technical teams. Strong data governance and healthcare data privacy experience required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries, including CTEs, window functions, and complex joins.
- Experience building scalable data scripts in Python, including Pandas and SQLAlchemy.
- Strong ability to reverse-engineer relational databases and map schemas.
- Experience with EHR/EMR or healthcare case management platforms is a major advantage.
Responsibilities
- Map clients, caregivers, services, and demographics into a coherent data model.
- Create ERDs and a robust data dictionary for internal teams.
- Translate business requirements into complex SQL queries and Python scripts.
- Explain technical roadblocks to business leaders in accessible language.
- Deliver accurate datasets via automated extraction and reporting.
