Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Data Architect I to design, deploy and manage ETL jobs across EPIC Clarity, the Clinical Data Warehouse and external repositories within our hybrid on-premises and cloud data environment.

You will collaborate with the Data Discovery and Development team, create design documents, develop analytics solutions, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering scalable data systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IS, CS or related field.
• 1-3 years of database and data development experience.
• 1-3 coding experience in an object oriented language.
• Experience with SQL Server stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI).
• Ability to design and implement Office 365 or MS Teams apps.
• Healthcare data and analytics familiarity (Epic knowledge preferred).
• Data modeling design experience (relational, dimensional, or modern models).
• Knowledge of multiple data solutions (ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Cubes, Reporting).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL/data integration across EPIC Clarity, CDW, repositories in hybrid platform.
• Develop custom data/analytics solutions incl. database/app development.
• Provide monitoring/support and act as primary resolution point for issues.
• Install, deploy and upgrade data analytics systems; maintain docs.
• Scope requirements and create design documents.
• Create project plans and manage solutions.
• Develop/test ETL processes and perform code reviews.
• Consult with Information Management on software/hardware interactions.
• Maintain high customer-service standards.
• Adhere to HIPAA and JCAHO compliance.
• Prioritize projects with the Manager for Clinical Informatics.
• Support the Data Discovery and Development team.
