Job summary

IHA is seeking a data analyst to analyze healthcare and related data, design and maintain data extractions and transformations using SQL, and develop BI visualizations with Tableau to support requests, projects, and policy initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years as analysts, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in SQL; Tableau experience is preferred. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's preferred. Minimal travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred.
• At least two years’ analyst experience with strong data organization, analysis, and accuracy.
• Proficiency with SQL required; Tableau preferred; knowledge of healthcare data highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, test, and maintain data warehouse and ETL processes (data extraction and transformation).
• Gather and analyze healthcare and related data to identify trends for information requests and business cases.
• Develop BI outputs and visualizations using Tableau and Excel to support hospitals, policy, advocacy, and quality initiatives.
• Test and validate data to support informed decision making.
• Manage diverse information systems and large data files, transforming raw data into finished products.
• Monitor datasets for timely and accurate completion.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives to improve data management and reporting for member hospitals and policy initiatives.
• Identify issues and opportunities to improve data systems and data governance.
• Perform other duties as defined.
