Job summary

Reedsburg Area Medical Center in the United States is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support the Nutrition and Culinary Services team. The role involves food preparation, assembly, portioning, stocking, and distribution to patients and other customers during a 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM shift.

You will help maintain sanitation, adapt to varying duties, and participate in ongoing duties as assigned. Safe food handling experience is preferred, and Serv Safe certification is desirable; healthcare

Qualifications

• Safe food handling experience preferred.
• Serv Safe certificate desired.
• Experience in quantity food preparation is helpful.
• Experience in healthcare foodservice is helpful.

Responsibilities

• The Culinary Assistant performs a variety of tasks daily, including the preparation, assembly, portioning, stocking and/or distribution of food and supplies to patients, residents, and other customers, as well as the cleaning associated with the sanitation of all areas of the Nutrition and Culinary Services Department.
• There is significant variation in duties depending upon the area of primary assignment (and shift worked).
• It is expected that the Dining Services Aide performs other duties as assigned and maintains flexibility in scheduling and work area assignments according to department and system needs.
