Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI, seeks a Culinary Retail Assistant to join our patient and visitor dining team. You will provide excellent customer service, set up meal service lines, portion foods, and cashier with accurate payments.

This role supports safe food handling, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment. Full-time schedule 5:00pm–3:30am Wednesday through Saturday with competitive benefits and opportunities for education and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food service or customer service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Accurately sets up meal service lines, portions food items, serves meals, and works as a short order line cook.
• Cashiers and provides efficient and accurate payment transactions in a professional manner.
• Sanitizes dishes, cookware, equipment, and environment.
