Job summary

LHH in Nashville is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our healthcare client’s growing team. This role focuses on ensuring providers are properly credentialed, enrolled, and compliant with regulatory, payer, and organizational requirements.

You will manage initial credentialing and recredentialing, monitor expiration dates, maintain provider records, submit applications, and collaborate with provider relations, revenue cycle, and medical staff to support onboarding and ongoing compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of credentialing or healthcare administration experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate initial credentialing, recredentialing, and provider enrollment.
• Collect, verify, and maintain provider credentials (licenses, certifications, education, training).
• Prepare and submit credentialing applications to hospitals, health systems, payers, and regulators.
• Monitor expiration dates and renew licenses, certifications, and registrations timely.
• Maintain accurate provider records in credentialing databases.
• Respond to credentialing inquiries from providers, payers, and internal stakeholders.
• Track application status and follow up with carriers and credentialing entities.
• Collaborate with provider relations, revenue cycle, medical staff, and operations teams.
