We are seeking a seasoned freelance Copywriter to support a growing volume of fast-paced marketing and communications projects. This is an ongoing, fully remote opportunity for a hands‑on writer who can work independently, move quickly, and deliver clear, audience‑focused copy across multiple channels.
What You’ll Do
- Write, edit, and refine short- and long-form content for email, direct mail, social media, postcards, and other marketing communications.
- Support high-volume, quick-turn projects, including headline revisions, copy updates, and marketer-provided content edits.
- Translate creative briefs into concise, effective copy while maintaining approved messaging and brand standards.
- Recommend headlines, refine messaging, and improve clarity—not simply execute requests.
- Partner with marketers and production designers to make copy adjustments efficiently and accurately.
- Work within detailed brand, legal, and regulated-content guidelines, including readability requirements for healthcare communications.
- Manage incoming work and shifting priorities independently in a fast-moving environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Ability to write clearly for varied audiences, including content requiring an approximately fourth-grade reading level.
- Experience creating customer-facing content across email, social, direct mail, and related channels.
- Comfort working within established tone-of-voice, brand, and compliance guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage fast-moving assignments with limited day-to-day oversight.
- Experience with Workfront or a similar creative project-management platform is preferred.
- SEO/AEO knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week; highly experienced candidates may be considered for commitments of around 10 hours per week.
- Start: Targeting a November start, ideally within 2-3 weeks.
- Work arrangement: Fully remote. Candidates must work on their own equipment; project-management access will be provided.
This role is ideal for a versatile, detail-oriented writer who enjoys producing polished, compliant work across a steady flow of production-focused assignments.
