FutureCare Health & Management is seeking a Cook to join the nutrition team in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on safe food preparation, adherence to menus and therapeutic diets, and supervision of dietary aides to ensure timely meals for residents.

Responsibilities include sanitation, portion control, and collaboration with other departments to deliver high-quality nutrition and dining experiences in a healthcare setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Serve Safe certification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a health care environment.

Responsabilidades

• Handle and prepare food in a sanitary manner.
• Prepare food which is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Keep your work area clean and sanitize work area after food preparation.
• Follow written menus and recipes.
• Understand and be able to prepare therapeutic diets.
• Make appropriate menu substitutions when necessary.
• Monitor shortages and excesses of food and supplies; inform immediate supervisor.
• Be responsible for avoiding food waste.
• Meet meal schedules and work cooperatively with staff.
