Job summary

HibbardSkilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare meals for our 93-bed facility. You will work with the Dietary Services team to deliver nutritious, well-presented meals in line with resident needs and sanitation standards.

Experience in healthcare food service is preferred, and we offer tuition reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and supportive leadership to help you grow in the healthcare and food services field.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred, but not required.
• Two years of related food service experience preferred.
• Leadership and communication skills may be required if supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Cooking: Review menus prior to food preparation, and handle the preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods tailored to resident nutritional needs.
• Quality & Accuracy: Inspect special diet trays to assure they are correct and ensure all food and supplies for meals are readily available.
• Kitchen Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain general upkeep of the kitchen, and dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
• Coordination & Leadership: Coordinate dietary services with other departments as necessary, help standardize work methods, and provide leadership and supervision to staff when needed.
