Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Superintendent for a Seattle Main division project located in Bellingham, WA. The role leads subcontractors, directs labor, and ensures safety, schedule delivery, and quality within budget.

Supervisory responsibilities include assistants, field engineers and interns. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with at least ten years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of ten (10) years' related experience, training and/or experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex healthcare construction projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, including Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in EH&S applications.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade staffing levels.
• Promote coordination among trades and resolve procedures, precedence, design clarifications and schedule issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and Interns.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work; develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues; investigate and resolve them.
• Manage the billing process related to Work In Place (WIP) and monthly estimates, payrolls and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work is installed in compliance with approved contract documents.
