Job summary

The Arizona State Hospital, part of the Arizona Department of Health Services, seeks a Compliance Manager to coordinate with the Chief Compliance Officer and lead audits to ensure regulatory compliance across ASH facilities.

You will develop audit tools, conduct mock surveys, study CMS and Joint Commission standards, prepare findings for the Compliance Committee, and support departments with corrective action plans and technical assistance to sustain compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health related field and 4 years’ experience with regulatory agency rules and standards.
• A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops audit tools and conducts mock surveys with SME input.
• Researches state licensing rules, Joint Commission standards and CMS regulations.
• Supports departments with findings, feedback from mock surveys, and technical assistance.
• Participates in hospital committees and rounds to assess compliance.
• Backups the CCO and coordinates plans of correction with surveyors.
• Conducts focused audits as requested by management and departments.
• Assists in contract/performance evaluations and feedback to procurement.
