Job summary

Colonial Group in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Technician - Healthcare to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic communication systems including VOIP, SIP, and networked devices. Experience with nurse call systems is preferred and high attention to safety is required.

The role involves wiring diagrams interpretation, equipment programming, on-call duties, and training customers. A two-year electronics degree or related field experience is desirable, with Cisco/Microsoft certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of communications systems is required.
• Experience with VoIP, telephony, data networks, wireless data, fire alarm, CCTV, sound systems, or nurse call applications preferred.
• Cisco and Microsoft certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Responds to customer's service-related issues promptly.
• Tests and documents readings for customer's systems.
• Updates customer files.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components.
• Handles on-call duties on a regular scheduled basis.
• Trains and instructs the customer on proper use of the equipment.
• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Operates test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-meter, and Impedance Meter.
• Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment.
• Tracks time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items.
• Complies with safety programs.
