Job summary

PharMerica in the United States is seeking a collections associate to manage patient-level accounts and drive resolution of past-due balances. You will interact with responsible parties, explain charges, and follow up using approved collection techniques.

Responsibilities include working with pharmacy billing to obtain accurate information, re-billing when needed, and supporting the Private Collections Manager on special projects while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year billing and/or collections experience required.
• Desirable: healthcare billing/collections experience; AS400 experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient-level collection efforts for private accounts.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls and explain billing, following up on past-due accounts.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties to resolve balances and determine next steps.
• Collaborate with pharmacy billing to obtain accurate information and re-bill as needed.
• Support supervisor on special projects and adhere to compliance standards.
