Job summary

PharMerica is seeking aCollections Specialist to manage patient level accounts and drive timely payments. You will communicate with responsible parties, explain billing, and apply approved collection techniques to recover past due balances.

Role includes collaborating with pharmacy billing staff to verify information, rebill when needed, and coordinate with managers on special projects. Prior billing/collections experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
• 1 year billing and/or collections experience required.
• AS400 computer experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for collection efforts of patient level accounts primarily for private accounts.
• Explain billing and collect past due amounts using approved collection techniques.
• Work with internal and external customers to resolve accounts and relieve AR in a timely manner.
