Emory Healthcare is looking for a Coding and Documentation Coordinator to oversee the coding process within the Health Information Management Department. This position includes training coding staff and monitoring compliance with internal standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of production coding experience.
• Experience with health record administration.
• Knowledge of coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Distribute uncoded patient encounters to coding resources.
• Train coders on Emory electronic health record (EeMR).
• Monitor coding compliance with TAT standards.

Skills

Production coding

Knowledge of charge master processes

Experience with 3M HDM coding/abstracting system

HealthQuest registration/billing system

Cerner Millennium EHR

Education

Post high-school education in health record technology

RHIA, RSS, CCS or CPC credentials (preferred)
