Job summary

Mass General Brigham's North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning, sanitation, waste disposal, and routine equipment sterilizing to maintain a safe, hospital-wide environment.

You will follow infection control guidelines, operate floor machines and buffers, and participate in department meetings; a high school diploma is preferred and 0-1 year of related experience is typical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage; operating cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in alignment with schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• According to established procedures clean and service assigned areas.
• Move furniture/equipment and maintain hospital cleanliness.
• Operates floor machines and buffers.
• Attends at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintains clean, safe and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
