Qualifications

• Labor Class: there are no education or experience requirements for this class. Cleaners must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• 55 B/C program eligibility may apply; provide proof of eligibility as requested.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning tasks in assigned areas.
• Collects and empties trash and recycling according to cleaning schedules; handles waste and spills per procedures.
• Assembles cleaning carts and prepares, dilutes cleaning solutions per manufacturer directions.
• Washes floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
• Replaces light bulbs and dusts or washes fixtures and high surfaces; monitors supplies and notifies supervisor of issues.
