Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a linen services associate to support routine cleaning and linen operations across the Medical Center and related properties. You will access medication supply areas for cleaning as needed and perform duties to meet sanitation and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning, cart operations, handling soiled linen and waste, operating laundry equipment, and maintaining safety with OSHA-compliant practices. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• OSHA training must be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
• Perform tasks in accordance with written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks in accordance with written procedures, guidelines, directions, checklists, and verbal requests and instructions.
• Cleans and services units, rooms, areas, and facilities including showers, tubs, sinks, water/ice dispensers, counters, toilets, refrigerators, halls, stairways, walls, floors, ceilings, windows, elevators, patient beds, patient units, patient equipment, furniture of all kinds, operating suites, laboratories, procedure rooms, and offices.
• Uses cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment including cloths, wall mops, floor mops, vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor rotors, and automatic floor machines.
