Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in care management or claims systems to help shape enterprise workflow processes. You will translate business requirements into software specifications in close collaboration with our development team and field operations.

The role demands strong listening, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus the ability to document processes, analyze options, and drive automation while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in healthcare or medical/pharmaceutical industries.
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
• Exposure to application development and project management fundamentals.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel, including the ability to relay complex ideas simply.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills; experience with MS Project and Visio is a plus.
• Experience with Teams, Webex, Zoom or other videoconference tools preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members, software engineers, and business stakeholders to gain expertise with claims and care management applications.
• Interact with business users, engineers, and experts to identify, analyze, and implement enhancements.
• Explore opportunities for automation and quality controls in core products.
• Document, update, and organize project documentation per team protocol.
• Diagnose and resolve complex business problems using system knowledge.
• Follow escalation protocols when issues threaten release timelines.
• Acquire extensive business and system knowledge across product lines.
• Communicate issues discovered during analysis and research.
• Assist with development of enterprise-wide workflow processes translating requirements to software.
• Additional duties as assigned.
