Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for its Savannah, GA operations. The role leads hospital financial operations, cash flow, and revenue optimization across acute inpatient and behavioral health facilities.

You will drive budgeting, reporting, and policy development while ensuring regulatory compliance. The position requires at least 5 years in healthcare finance leadership, a relevant bachelor’s (master’s preferred), and travel about 2%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a healthcare setting.
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of hospital financial operations, federal and local tax regulations; knowledge of all business office, accounting, payroll and other administrative operations.
• Skilled at interpreting financial analysis and performance information; preparing schedules and reports; using electronic spreadsheets and databases.
• Travel required: 2%.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls accounts receivables; oversees cash collection goals and communicates results to the CEO and Business Office Manager.
• Improves profitability; monitors costs related to staffing, payor mix and length of stay; assists in contract negotiations with third party payers.
• Prepares pro-forma analyses of new programs and contracts to determine outcomes; evaluates success of implemented programs.
• Develops policies and procedures to ensure cash flow, reduced costs, and increased revenues.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and informational reports; performs variance analyses and maintains internal controls.
• Prepares annual budget in line with UHS standards; collaborates with management to identify future needs.
