Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Director to lead the central laundry and linen services at Rhode Island Hospital. You will plan, organize, and ensure optimum laundry services for Brown University Health affiliates, modeling our values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

You will supervise up to 85 FTEs, develop schedules, and coordinate with Nursing, Support Services, and Admitting to meet textile and uniform needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management/healthcare administration.
• Supervisory and managerial skills to direct activities and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with hospital personnel.
• Knowledge of procedures/techniques to develop standards and evaluate products.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources (people, finances, materials) for central laundry and linen services.
• Model corporate values and ensure high-quality customer service.
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers to enable success.
• Provide staff with feedback to maximize human resource potential.
• Assist with budgets for equipment, labor, and expenses.
