Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Cashier to efficiently process cash, credit, and other payments in our retail food service areas. You will provide receipts, make change, and help maintain accurate cashier reports and deposits following established procedures.

The role supports dining room and service areas, operates relevant Food Services equipment, and may assist in other nutrition service tasks as needed, contributing to a positive patient and visitor experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year cashier experience in a food service or similar setting.
• For HM internal employees, six months of work experience at Houston Methodist.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process all cash register transactions and give correct change.
• Prepare cashier's report and deposit revenues per procedures.
• Support in other food service areas and operate relevant equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment.
