Nexus HR is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist for a healthcare clinic in Centennial, CO. The role focuses on accurate, timely billing and compliant processing to support prompt reimbursement by insurance payers.

You will manage claims end-to-end, review denials, and provide professional interaction with patients and internal teams, ensuring confidentiality and service excellence in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years experience in medical office billing.
• 2 years of billing experience.
• Proficient with CPT/HCPCS/ICD-9/ICD-10.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Follow up insurance account balances for all divisions.
• Contact insurance plans for claim status and resubmits/appeals as required.
• Submit medical records requested for claims processing.
• Review and correct denials from the payment team.
• Answer incoming billing phone calls.
• Back up duties as needed by the Guarantor AR specialist.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
