Nexus HR is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a reputable healthcare clinic in Centennial, CO. This role focuses on accurate, timely billing and supporting insurance reimbursements while upholding patient confidentiality and service excellence.

The Billing Specialist will review and submit claims, follow up on balances, and communicate with plans, with CPT/HCPCS/ICD proficiency preferred. This position includes comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• 5 years’ experience working in a medical office performing medical billing processes.
• 2 years of billing experience.
• Experience with Greenway Intergy/Phreesia.
• CPT/HCPCS/ICD-9/ICD-10 proficiency.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Knowledge of medical billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Insurance account balance follow-up for all divisions.
• Contact insurance plans for status of outstanding claims and resubmits/appeals as required.
• Submits any medical records requested for claims to process.
• Reviews and corrects all claim denials from payment specialist.
• Answers incoming billing phone calls.
• Other responsibilities as delegated by management.
• Back up to be done by Guarantor AR specialist.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $20 – $25 Hourly

About the Job

The Billing Specialist will manage and review claims to ensure they are accurately prepared, submitted, and processed for timely reimbursement. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the clinic’s revenue cycle while providing professional and service-oriented support to patients and internal teams.
