Ridgeview, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a full-time Healthcare Billing Specialist. The schedule is weekdays, 8am-4:30pm.
The right candidate will join a close-knit billing team, following timely, accurate, HIPAA-compliant billing practices that support the accounting functions of the financial services department. The billing team is an integral part of "One Ridgeview," with all staff working towards a common mission.

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Skills in data entry, claims submission, and follow-up are essential. At least two years of prior medical/hospital claims and billing experience is required; experience in billing mental healthcare claims is preferred. Must have excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal), mathematical aptitude, discipline, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must complete work with urgency and high accuracy, exercise discretion and good judgment in handling account information, and be able to work regularly scheduled weekday hours.
JOB DUTIES
Perform medical billing and related activities in a behavioral healthcare environment. Work directly with clients and third-party payors to ensure billing accuracy, compliance with guidelines, thoroughness, and timeliness. Conduct collections to manage accounts receivable balances effectively. Requires excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with clients and payors.
