Friend Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support the Revenue Cycle. This role handles claims submission, billing inquiries, patient statements, and documentation in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing billing information, following up on unpaid claims, and providing general administrative support to the Revenue Cycle team. Prior billing and healthcare experience is preferred with Epic or similar EHR familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of billing experience required.
• 1-2 years of clerical or healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of insurance claims and billing processes.
• Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance payors
• Review billing information for accuracy (demographics, DOS, etc.)
• Generate and send patient statements
• Respond to patient and insurance billing inquiries
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
• Maintain billing records and documentation
• Provide general administrative support to Revenue Cycle
