Job summary

Summit Academy OIC seeks a Medical Billing and Coding Instructor to teach MBC and related MAA courses, including Introduction to Insurance and Medical Office Procedures. The role involves curriculum development, varied instructional methods, and student support in an urban adult education setting.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree, teaching experience with adults, and knowledge of HIPAA and medical billing standards; bachelor's degree and online teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
• 1–2 years of field experience in medical billing and coding.
• Experience teaching adults.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers curriculum for Medical Billing and Coding within the MAA program.
• Teaches MBC and related courses using lectures and instruction.
• Manages classroom environment, records, and assessment alignment.
• Supports professional development and campus events.
