Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; health insurance verification/billing experience preferred.
• Ability to type at least 40 wpm and perform 10-key data entry.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook; HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Verify benefits and patient eligibility for surgery.
• Contact insurers to obtain benefit information and determine coverage.
• Update upfront collections log and coordinate patient payments.
• Maintain patient records and adhere to HIPAA confidentiality.
