Job summary

The DGS Office of External Affairs in Hartford is seeking a Healthcare Benchmark Initiative Policy Development Coordinator to lead the state's cost-growth benchmark and policy development. You will analyze healthcare data, craft policy solutions to improve affordability and access, and manage partnerships with hospitals, health systems, and state agencies.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Policy Advisor to the OPM Secretary.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience reviewing, analyzing, coordinating and administering policies and programs in a large governmental or business organization.
• Knowledge of public administration, policy development, cost-benefit analysis, and legislative processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to analyze and evaluate policy programs.
• Preferred: experience in health policy, healthcare markets, insurance regulation, or payment reform.
• Preferred: experience managing teams and engaging with diverse external stakeholders including hospitals, health systems, and state agencies.
• Preferred: advanced degree in health care, health administration, or public policy.
