Forefront is seeking a Baker to prepare breads, desserts, and baked goods for residents, patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting. You will adjust recipes for therapeutic diets while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.

The role is hourly, non-exempt, with hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior baking experience and commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Breads, desserts and baked goods prepared to recipes and schedules.
• Dietary modifications like diabetic-friendly, low-sodium, allergen-restricted diets.
• Sanitation standards and food-safety regulations followed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, pies and other baked goods.
• Modify recipes to meet therapeutic diets.
• Measure and mix ingredients with proper baking techniques.
• Ensure portion control, quality, and presentation.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times for quality and safety.
• Label, date and store baked goods per sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the baking area and equipment.
• Assist with receiving, inspecting and storing food and supplies.
• Report shortages and equipment issues to management.
• Follow fire safety, infection control and other facility policies.
