Job summary

Withum is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead healthcare engagements, directing planning, execution, and staff supervision. You will build client relationships and ensure compliance with US GAAP and healthcare-specific guidance.

The role requires a CPA or progress toward certification, 2+ years in public accounting, and proven leadership across multiple engagements. Expect collaboration with senior teams and opportunities to mentor staff in a fast‑growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA or actively pursuing CPA.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience, with leadership of multiple engagements.
• Healthcare industry experience including healthcare systems, hospitals, post‑acute care facilities, and both for‑profit and not‑for‑profit entities.
• Understanding of uniform guidance as it relates to healthcare organizations.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity with US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams on planning and executing audits, reviews or compilations to deliver high-quality client service.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of audits including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to engagement staff and communicate with engagement manager and partner.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and accounting/regulatory considerations.
• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy and oversee multiple engagements to meet deadlines.
• Manage engagement budgets and identify inefficiencies; mentor staff on performance and development.
• Engage in professional development programs as an instructor or leader.
