Job summary

Withum is seeking a healthcare-focused Audit Engagement professional to lead all aspects of engagements from planning to completion, mentoring staff, and maintaining client relationships. You will supervise engagement staff, coordinate with seniors and partners, and ensure adherence to US GAAP and healthcare industry guidance while delivering world-class service and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA license, or working toward CPA certification with parts passed.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience, including leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Healthcare industry experience (hospitals, systems, post-acute care; both for-profit and not-for-profit).
• Understanding of uniform guidance as it relates to healthcare organizations.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, with familiarity with US GAAP.
• Excellent client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
• Supervise and support engagement staff, seniors, and supervisors, promoting open communication with the engagement partner.
• Collaborate with seniors, supervisors, and partners on client issue resolution and accounting/regulatory guidance.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss performance with team members.
• Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
