Responsibilities

• Support the assigned unit by providing technical patient care services under the direction of physicians and clinical staff.
• Assist staff, physicians, and visitors with routine patient care activities and clerical support.
• Perform patient care activities such as taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and transporting patients.
• Handle clerical tasks including directing incoming calls, responding to patient calls, entering patient charges into the computer system, maintaining patient charts and unit files, managing secretarial supplies, and ensuring a safe and orderly environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required by the end of orientation.
• Previous patient care and/or clerical experience with a successful work history.
• Familiarity with healthcare procedures and systems is preferred.
