Actalent, a design-build firm, seeks an Architectural Designer in Rosemont, IL to contribute across the full lifecycle from concept to construction documents for private healthcare projects. You will work with interior design, construction, and project teams to shape healthcare environments and support leadership in a boutique setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, technical detailing, and cross-functional collaboration, with a hybrid work arrangement in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience in an architectural firm.
• Proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
• Experience or interest in healthcare-focused design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of construction documents and detailed project drawings.
• Collaborate across groups to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Attend client meetings and provide design feedback to the team.
• Review technical drawings and coordinate with engineering consultants.
• Research products and building systems that support design intent, especially in healthcare.
• Develop plans, elevations, and architectural details illustrating design concepts and materials.
• Produce construction documents and specifications aligned with approved design.
• Lead document revisions during construction to address field conditions.
• Review subcontractor submissions for design intent and documentation.
• Review shop drawings for furniture, millwork, and equipment.
• Attend job site meetings during construction as needed.
• Participate in punch list processes and follow up on items.
