Job summary

Garner Health in New York City offers a 10-week summer Software Engineering Internship. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and product managers to build features that help members find doctors and manage claims. Select interns may receive full-time roles after the program.

You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, gaining hands-on experience with AI-enabled systems and a mission-driven healthcare reform effort that uses data to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related STEM field (expected graduation Fall 2027–Spring 2028)
• Solid CS fundamentals with exposure to front-end or back-end technologies; familiarity with databases or cloud platforms is a plus
• Exposure to or interest in building with AI coding agents is a plus

Responsibilities

• Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems
• Collaborate across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on projects
• Participate in code reviews, sharing your insights and learning from others
• Engage in problem solving sessions with senior engineers and team leads where your unique perspective will be valued
• Deliver a capstone project presentation to engineering leaders and business stakeholders, demonstrating your work and impact
