Job summary

Commure is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Provider Pod to lead a full‑stack team delivering AI‑driven clinical documentation, notes, and workflows within real healthcare environments.

You will own people leadership, technical direction, and roadmap execution across Python backends, TypeScript/React surfaces, and AI/LLM workflows, partnering with Product, Design, Clinical, AI/ML, Data, Platform, and Air Billing to ship scalable, trusted features.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in management
• Proven success hiring, coaching, and developing high‑performing teams
• Hands‑on experience shipping AI-powered features in production
• Strong product judgment and cross‑functional leadership in fast‑moving environments
• Bonus: experience with EHRs, healthcare interoperability, HIPAA or SOC 2

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Provider Pod: recruit, coach, and develop engineers
• Own roadmaps and outcomes for scribe docs, clinical assistant, and AI skills
• Set technical direction across Python services and TypeScript/React surfaces
• Collaborate with Product, Design, clinical, AI/ML, Data, Platform, and Air Billing
• Raise engineering bar with planning, quality, testing, deployment, observability
• Drive reliability, security, performance and on-call readiness
• Foster high ownership culture and strong judgment
