Job summary

Zoho is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer in Catonsville, MD. You will own technical delivery for major healthcare payer customers, building AI/ML solutions and data pipelines, and working directly with enterprise teams to deploy production-grade systems.

You will prototype solutions, evaluate outputs for accuracy and reliability, and contribute to the product roadmap with a strong focus on customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software, data engineering, or ML engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML tech.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade systems.
• Ability to work across application, data, and model layers.
• Healthcare payer workflows knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with LLMs, ML systems, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.
• Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with enterprise customers.
• Focus on production-quality solutions and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for major healthcare payer customers from problem definition to production.
• Collaborate with customer business, clinical, data, and technology teams.
• Build and integrate AI/ML solutions, LLMs, APIs, rules, and data pipelines.
• Prototype rapidly and scale successful approaches to production.
• Diagnose challenges across apps, models, data, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability, explainability, and usefulness.
