Job summary

Highmark Health invites graduate students to join the Summer 2027 Data Science Research & Development Graduate Internship. You will apply advanced data science, ML, AI, and software engineering techniques to address clinical and healthcare challenges.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the intern will collaborate across tracks in Knowledge Graphs, Medical Imaging, Predictive Modeling, and AI Applications to build innovative analytics and practical solutions supporting healthcare transformation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Pursuit of a graduate degree full or part‑time in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders on assignments and problems.
Under supervision, provide professional services aligned to day‑to‑day objectives.
Undertake projects to develop professional skills and expertise relevant to the organization.
Participate in planning and implementing unit projects within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals.
Engage in related studies or enrichment programs for the unit objectives.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
