Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of experience.
• Basic understanding of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent communication and outstanding customer service and listing skills.
• Basic keyboarding skills.
• Critical thinking, sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills essential.
• Team oriented, open minded, flexible, and willing to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast paced department.

Responsibilities

• Collects and enters patient demographic, coverage and insurance information into Epic.
• Obtains and communicates insurance benefits and patient financial obligation.
• Performs registration functions per regulatory and payer requirements.
• Conducts admission notification (NOA) to secure payment for inpatient stays.
• Explains policies governing revenue cycle and discusses financial responsibilities with patients.
