Job summary

Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking an Admissions Registration Specialist I for the Patient Registration department. You will review and enter patient demographics and insurance data in Epic, and help patients understand insurance options and their financial responsibilities.

In this role you will assist with admissions processes, communicate clearly with payers, and deliver courteous service while safeguarding patient confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
• Basic MS Office skills and experience with Epic are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Verify and enter patient demographic, insurance and financial data into Epic.
• Explain insurance options and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Assist with admission notifications and communicate with payers as needed.
• Provide courteous, accurate service and protect patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate with departments to support accurate hospital reimbursement.
