Job summary

MedLink Georgia is seeking an Accounting Manager in Colbert, GA to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure GAAP compliance, accurate financial reporting, and strong internal controls. The role collaborates with operational leaders, manages general ledger, month-end close, accounts payable, fixed assets, and financial analyses to inform strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred, 5+ years progressive accounting experience and 2+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, accounts payable.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and enhance internal control processes to safeguard assets.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform ad hoc research and account analysis.
• Oversee invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Review weekly payments with CFO for alignment with financial strategy.
• Manage all AP processes, including invoices, approvals, coding, and memos.
• Maintain vendor files and COIs when appropriate.
• Prepare credit applications and seek favorable payment terms.
• Perform year-end 1099 and 1096 reporting.
• System Administrator for AP and purchasing card software, user setup and coding verification.
